"City Boy"

 

This handsome guy is from a farm family in Kansas. One day he visited the big city and couldn't stop talking about how he was going to move there. They nicknamed him the "City Boy" after that. The reference for the painting is a small black and white photo.
I haven't painted a portrait for a while and didn't know where to start! But as it turned out it was a joy to paint, probably because he is so handsome.

"Morning at The Cottage with Coffee and the News". The cottage is from my childhood. My mom and dad were early risers and the smell of coffee and toast would drift through the house. After the paper was read you would soon hear, "Breakfast is ready".
