"Egg Shell with Salt Shaker"

 

Had lots of fun painting this one! Love painting egg shells but they are a bit of a challenge. It's going to be cold and may snow here this week so I'm just going to light the fire and try to paint all week. Then next week I am moving the workshop Again! and be unable to paint for about a week but please keep watching, "I'll Be Back"!

"Glass of Water with Apple"

 

The apple is one of my diet staples and my still life subjects. The other favorite is a sparkling glass of cold well water! Now if I just add a PB&J I have the perfect sack lunch.

"The Lady in the Hat"

This is another portrait painted from a small black and white photo. I photographed this painting about 50 times and can't get the color of the purple hat right. It's more of a plum which I took from the Downton Abbey fashions. Love that PBS series!

"City Boy"

 

This handsome guy is from a farm family in Kansas. One day he visited the big city and couldn't stop talking about how he was going to move there. They nicknamed him the "City Boy" after that. The reference for the painting is a small black and white photo.
I haven't painted a portrait for a while and didn't know where to start! But as it turned out it was a joy to paint, probably because he is so handsome.
