"Old Bottles, Books and The Key"

The found things on my book shelf keep it interesting and occasionally I look for them for my still life paintings. Sometimes I paint whats been there the longest or what peaks my interest the most at the moment. The old key I've had for a while and just rediscovered.

"Farmer's Cottage Garden Tomatoes"

This painting is of Tomatoes in all stages of growth to the canning jar! This is one of my old jars with the glass lined zinc lid.

"Peach with Flow Blue Cream Pitcher"

This is a Georgia Peach from the farmers market on the square here. The creamer is a garage sale find and setting on an old marble top table. These two together were just a pleasure to paint.

"Fresh Farmer's Market Ear of Corn"

Farmer's Market corn is so beautiful right now. I was going to do a large painting of it but thought I would try it on the small scale first. Those little kernles of corn were making me crazy so this is it!

"Grape Tomatoes with Old Pottery Bottle" Old World Style Oil Painting

The tomatoes in the garden are plentiful and beautiful this year. I will be canning some of these or freezing them would be quicker! The old pottery Bottle is a Saki bottle found in San Francisco in old China Town. I have found that I have to paint the tomatoes same day because they change color from green to red the same day and the stems shrivel to nothing!

"Farmer's Market Radish" Original Old World Style Oil Painting

Found the Radishes at the local Saturday farmer's market here. They were so beautiful shining in the morning sun, they begged to be painted.
