"Lilacs in Silver Vase" 8x10"

The Lilacs are in bloom and they are beautiful! The air is warm and scented with them everywhere you go. This is one of a series off flowers from my cottage garden I'll be painting.

While I have been painting some commissions I have been wanting to do some landscapes that have been on my mind. I love to paint night scenes and this is one of the old farms on the Buffalo River. The moon rising had a ring around it which is call a "Moon Dog" and was so bright there was no need of a flashlight!

I thought of naming this painting "Arkansas Moonshine" but then I thought about the connotations of that title!
