One of the commissions I've been working on this month. It's different for me to paint this size and a light background! The colors are never the same in the photo but close.

"Red Grapes on Flow Blue Plate" Original Oil Daily Painting

 

Red grapes are just about my favorite as is this plate, an old flow blue Phoenix bird design that goes with the tea cup I paint quite often.

"Wine and Cake Al Fresco"

 

 

The cake, wine and grapes make an excellent setting with some Ivy giving it an Al Fresco look! This is also homage to a Raphaelle Peale still life, a painter I admire so much.
