This is an old cream pitcher I found in a three story Victorian House in Topeka Kansas many years ago. The grapes are just fun to paint!

"Old Bottle of Bone Buttons" Original Oil Daily Painting Still Life by Ashley
I have collected old buttons most of my life and favor
the buttons from the civil war era. Bone buttons were hand carved from 1850 to
1920's. The bottle is a small, very worn Borden's cream bottle. I love the way
the the buttons reflect up on the inside of the old scratched
glass.

"Antique Bottles Vines and Berries" Original Oil Daily Painting by Ashley
The apothecary and medicine bottles are from a
old drugstore that had the lunch counter. It closed here years ago. I like to
paint them in stark light with living plants and natural elements found in the
Forrest here.
