Garlic on a Blue Towel

I have had this Garlic from the farmers market here and decided to paint them. When I opened this the smell of garlic filled the room! I will be doing more paintings of garlic to try to get that transparent look to the skins a bit more.

Dawn at The Cottage Coffee and the News Original Oil painting by Mary Ashley 12x16

"Morning at The Cottage with Coffee and the News". The cottage is from my childhood. My mom and dad were early risers and the smell of coffee and toast would drift through the house. After the paper was read you would soon hear, "Breakfast is ready".

I will be listing my paintings on eBay and here on my blog.
