"Country Farm House Chair and Denim Shirt" 8x10 Oil Painting

This old chair has been around for about 125 years. When I bought it the seat was rawhide just hanging on. So I replaced it with some sticks and White Washed it! The denim shirt and hat are for the gardening.

"Old Silver Pitcher and Arkansas Black Apple"

The silver pitcher I have had for a while and goes back 3 generations of my family. The apple is a Arkansas Black Apple. The orchard is along highway 65 between here and Little Rock. I happened to stop by last week and he still has these in cold storage from last fall! They are named for their very dark red color, they are very sweet and juicy.

"Antique Bottle with Seeds"

One of my favorite old bottles with seeds and a pod off my wisteria vine and some beautiful Blue berries from a wild vine. This week end will be warmer and gives me a chance to get outside and work in the garden.

"Summer's Child"

She was playing in the park with the sun directly overhead which made her hair almost white against her tanned skin. She was so adorable I had to paint her.

"The Lady by the River"

The night is illuminated by the lights from the city and the atmosphere. She is dressed in fur with feathers in her hat. I wanted the scene to be of wonder but also mysterious.
I am still working on the studio setup hope to be done this week!

"The Preacher's Sermon"

I believe he is practicing his sermon on the 2 dogs. The white one has his head bowed in humble reverence the other is eager to get it over with and go play! Just as it is with his parishioners!

"Antique Syrup Pitcher and Biscuit"

This is my favorite old syrup pitcher. It has no lid anymore put is still very useful. We love hot out of the oven biscuits with butter and maple syrup. The biscuits go fast and usually none left but this one I saved for the painting, and then I ate it!
