Pears and Blueberries on a Stone Ledge 6x8 Oil Painting

Oil on Canvas 6x8"
The past weeks have been full of family and just life in general! I have not been able to free myself from it to get back to painting until now.
This is one in a series of paintings with pears and blueberries. I am trying different subjects to paint and I never know what will be next! So do keep watching.

Blue Hyacinth and Old Silver Cup oil painting by Mary Ashley

Blue Hyacinth and Old Silver Cup oil painting
4x6 Raymar canvas panel
The Blue Hyacinths are in bloom here and in places just cover the ground in a beautiful vibrant blue! I picked a few and in this painting they are in a miniature crystal vase with a child's silver cup.

Old Dutch Masters Style "Creamer and Japonica" Original Oil painting by M Ashley

This creamer is a family heirloom and the Japonica or Flowering Quince is from the front yard and is budding. When sprigs are brought in and put in water, they bloom and are the first sign of spring.

Old Bible and Glass of Water

8 x 10
Oil on Canvas
I have collected old books all my life. This one is special and very old!
Like the Bible, water sustains us.
Painting sustains me as well. But then there is life, and in life I have to clean house, rake the leaves, cook the meals, and on and on. But at the end of the day I feel rewarded because I have done it and I can get back to painting!
